Meet the Sands Whitewater Guides

Brook- Head guide Brook Parker hails from Southeastern Virginia and moved to Jackson six years ago to pursue his outdoor interests after attending N.C.S.U. He's been a Sands guide for four years and is a ski instructor at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. He has lead trips down the Colorado, Gauley and New Rivers |
| Ben- Ben LaBrecque is a Vermont native and has been living in Jackson since 2005. He spends his summer guiding for Sands and winter coaching ski racing for the Jackson Hole Ski Club. Ben spends his spare time mountain biking, skiing, and backpacking. |

Kate- Kate Furman grew up whitewater kayaking and rafting in South Carolina. This will be her third season guiding on the Snake River. Kate's winters are currently spent in graduate school at RISD studying jewelry and metalsmithing. On her summer days off, she is usually still found near the river. |
| Tim- Originally from Connecticut, Tim Miles has been guiding river trips for six years, five of those years for Sands. When not guiding, Tim works in the Special Education Department at Jackson Hole High School. In his free time he enjoys exploring different rivers and participating in numerous other outdoor activities. |
